Inspired by Grandma Pesia's legacy, we are on a mission to fight hunger in Israel and reshape communities to sustainability.

Pesia's Kitchen is a movement

At Pesia’s Kitchen, we have developed unique models of distribution that overcome barriers to getting nourishing food to those who are poor and seldom have regular access to healthy meals. With the help of hundreds of volunteers, this is done at an extremely low cost.

Pesia's Community Hubs

Utilizing ingredients that would otherwise go to waste

With three distribution hubs and hundreds of volunteers, food is rescued from corporate cafeterias, restaurants, supermarkets, bakeries, and government agencies. Combined with fresh produce from Leket, the large Israeli food bank, we distribute 2 million pounds of healthy food each year to those in need.

Food Education Program & Community Action

Working with the Derech Kfar network of schools, we deliver four thousand pounds of fresh produce each week to 14 schools. The students and their teachers pack fruits and vegetables for distribution to help their neighbors, teaching students the importance of helping others and that individually they can make a difference in life.

Emergency
war fund

The Hamas attack of October 7th disrupted many marginalized communities in Israel, causing severe hardship as jobs disappeared and traumatized communities struggled to adapt.

Thanks to our dedicated supporters in the food industry, we quickly leapt into action creating an Emergency War Fund through which we got tons of food to communities desperate for help. This effort continues to the current day.

Food insecurity affects nearly 20% of Israelis, while 37% of edible food goes to waste. Keeping administrative costs to a minimum and striving for efficiency, allows us to deliver a meal for an amount unmatched in the food relief industry.
